3d-io Spotmask Documentation

Welcome to the user documentation for the 3d-io Spotmask render pass element plug-in.

Spotmask has been created to provide 3d professionals with render pass elements for mental ray that are very useful during the post processing and compositing stage of their workflow. Mental ray provides many common render elements by default but some very useful data passes are missing or require tedious workarounds to create.

Spotmask fills this gap by providing easy to use render elements that generate data that has proven highly valuable during the post processing phase of rendered images.
